Description: The term AICHMOPHOBIA, is an irrational persistent fear of needles or pointed objects. Most often this term is used in reference to fear of hypodermic needles, and most commonly it is referred to as such: "fear of needles". The condition was officially recognized in 1994 in the DSM-IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, 4th edition) as a specific phobia of blood/injection/injury type. This painting has been professionally framed with a gorgeous light-color metal frame with protective glass meant for the preservation of the piece. It is an original watercolour painting (not a print), painted on illustration board.
